Wellness Programming

The third segment focuses on taking lifestyle modifications one step further to round out and achieve wellness. In this segment, LSE provides several options for programming. A successful wellness program is the one that addresses the specific needs of an employee population. Once the assessment is completed through the screening process, group reports will be analyzed to determine what the greatest lifestyle health needs of an employee population are. LSE then tailors and customizes programming that addresses these needs. The services we provide within this segment include:

Coaches Corners

Coaches Corners are wellness stations set up on site to bring high quality, fast health and fitness behavioral tips to participants at their worksite. Coaches Corners are typically set up in high traffic zones of a worksite such as in lobbies or break rooms. The Coaches Corners are staffed by Health Educators who provide quick tips on one specific topic that allow participants to walk away with results based behavioral plans for enriching a particular area of their health, such as fitness, weight loss, healthy eating, stress management, etc. It is an effective way of reaching participants in all stages of readiness to help them achieve behavioral changes, especially the ''high risk'' or ''resistant'' participants who can start with one simple lifestyle modification that may inspire them to improve their health.

Online Web-Based Programming

Within the healthcare industry, surveys consistently conclude that for people to make lifestyle changes, they want programs to be fast and easy. To help achieve the results customers are looking for, LSE provides several customized web-based program options that allow participants to receive educational material via e-mail or web site, to participate in contests and challenges, and to receive individualized programming in exercise and weight loss. Web-based programming includes options such as a walking program where participants log their daily and weekly progress; weight loss contests where participants compete in teams for prizes and certificates for weight loss goal achievement; blood pressure logs where participants track their blood pressure, monitor and log it in, and work towards decreasing their numbers; and activity challenges and logs where participants track and log in any exercise that they do to achieve certificates and incentives. LSE can also provide customized work out plans on-line to individuals with a personalized workout including pictures of exercises. A nutrition /diet assessment is also provided to allow health coaches to personally assess participant diets and recommendations for improvement. All of these programs are designed and continuously monitored by highly skilled LSE health educators and fitness experts. In addition, resources are provided on-line and can be e-mailed in groups by health coaches to participants. Some of the examples of topics include; aging, allergies, anxiety and depression, arthritis, asthma, back pain, diabetes, fitness, heart health, migraines, pregnancy, preventive care, productivity and energy, stress, and weight management. LSE's web-based programs are a great advantage to employers, as the programming is easily accessible and fun. Participants can get involved and use the programs anywhere and can stay on track even when traveling. Progress can easily be tracked and on-going coaching and analysis with detailed reports can be provided by health coaches. In addition, through experience, LSE has found web-based programming to be more successful and more cost effective than telephonic interventions. Telephonic programs typically have had a 40% missed call rate versus web-based programming which can be conveniently accessed by the employee.
